Steve is and has been an HR leader and practitioner in the Commonwealth public sector for more than 20 years.  Currently with the National Gallery, prior to this he worked for Indigenous Business Australia.  This is balanced by private sector experience with BHP.

An HR generalist, grounded in workplace relations, he has a breadth of experience in negotiating change, as well as individual and collective agreements, and dispute resolution.

Other strategic level achievements include rebuilding HR teams and functions under the umbrella of overarching people strategies, focusing on HR infrastructure, enhancing individual and collective capability, and supporting health and wellbeing.
