Mark Sweeney

Principal at 63p, and former Head of People Business Partnering at National Disability Insurance Agency

Mark is presently the Principal of 63p – a management consultancy and advocacy service.  Prior to this role he was a senior executive at the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) for over five years.  

Mark has worked in the public sector as a Senior Executive Service officer for over 10 years and has worked across three major federal government departments.

A significant appointment of Mark’s in the NDIA was as the General Manager, Regional Operations during 2017 and 2018, where Mark’s focus was to lead the regional build and service delivery for the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s operations in Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Western Australia.  This was during a challenging time of the NDIA’s short history, and at a time that also required significant changes to existing state-based disability support systems, and the disability service sector overall, where it was moving from state-based block funded supports to individual funding drawn from participant plans.

Mark has a wealth of public sector experience in capability and capacity building and has led complex business propositions.  He has achieved success in adopting a strategic approach while maintaining his grounding in service delivery. This shows a unique skill set in today’s business where there is a direct link between strategy and action.

Mark holds a Master of Business and he is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
