Sydney based actor, director, writer and corporate coach, Jo Turner brings a diverse and unique mix of skills to the NIDA Corporate team.  He is a graduate of Melbourne University (Psychology/Economics) and the Ecole de Théåtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, which specialises in movement and improvisation.  

Jo has directed large, mainstage theatre productions such as The Graduate with Jerry Hall, as well as his own smaller scale works such as Ruby’s Wish (Belvoir Street, Sydney Opera House). He has worked as an actor with most of Australia’s major theatre companies including Bell Shakespeare, Sydney Theatre Company, the Ensemble and Belvoir Street. 

As a teacher Jo has worked extensively with training institutions such as NIDA, QUT and The Actors Centre, primarily in the areas of improvisation and movement. 

Jo has worked as a corporate performance coach for many years, translating movement, voice and actor training skills into the corporate environment. He works across a range of industries in the public and private sector, and is happy in one on one settings, as well as with small and large groups.
