Greg Barnier is the Chief People Officer, Insurance & Care NSW (icare) which is one of largest insurance providers in Australia. At icare, Greg has responsibility for all aspects of human resource management strategy & service delivery and internal communications.
Greg is an experienced human resources executive who has led diverse teams across multiple geographic locations in Australia and the Pacific to deliver strategic outcomes in complex business environments in the public, not for profit, private and finance sectors.
He has expertise in human resource management strategy, leadership development, organisational culture, driving change, executive & business coaching, team performance, organisational design, shared service delivery and customer experience. Greg is passionate about enabling people to bring their whole selves to work and creating great places to work where people can achieve great things for their customers.
Always keen to expand his learning to stay contemporary, Greg holds a Master of Business Coaching and an Advanced Diploma of Government in addition to diplomas in Business, Human Resource Management, Management and Financial Services. Greg is also a Director of Apunipima Cape York Health Council, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Senior Fellow of Finsia (the Financial Services Institute of Australasia), and a Certified Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
